Rainbow was an English heavy metal band, controlled by former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The band started out combining mystical lyric themes with neo-classical metal, but went in a more streamlined commercial style after the departure of singer Ronnie James Dio. Although Rainbow never had a gold album or a hit single, it´s legacy and influence is undeniable.

This was Rainbow´s last album to feature Ronnie James Dio on vocals, who left, later to join Black Sabbath.
